I am Tony Ludovici, inventor of Swing Mojo. A 28-year U.S. Navy veteran, I flew F-14s and F/A-18s off carriers and in hot spots around the world. As a former TOPGUN Instructor, I taught advanced aerodynamics to the world’s elite fighter pilots. I hold both a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition to many other sports, I played college baseball, competitive softball, and coached Middle School baseball.

I always intuitively believed that adding weight to a bat was an ineffective way to increase bat speed and power. In recent years, scientific research has proven my hunch. For the past two decades, I have tinkered with various ideas and prototypes in order to achieve the ultimate baseball/softball hitting aid. This is it.
There are plenty of bat speed hitting aids on the market that have longitudinal fins oriented along the shaft. Through years of trial and error, I discovered that by adding an end fin at the base that connects the longitudinal fins, the drag resistance is much greater. This critical end fin utilizes the same aerodynamic principles as a speed brake on an airplane. A lifetime filled with engineering, flying and sports directly led to my “Eureka!” moment.

I envision a future in which donuts, barrel weights, and weighted bats are discarded or placed in museums where they belong; and every player’s bat bag, coach’s car trunk, and team’s on-deck circle has Swing Mojo. It is the honor and thrill of a lifetime to see the surprise and delight in a player’s face the first time they try Swing Mojo. I promise you will be just as excited when you try Swing Mojo as well!
